How to wow your guests on Christmas Day!

The most magical time of year is here. Christmas! If you really want to wow your guests on Christmas day, then you’re going to want to check out these Christmas Day ideas. From festive cocktails to outdoor games, this list has got you covered. So get out your sparklers and the cocktail glasses because it’s Christmas time!

  1. Serve an exciting Christmas cocktail on arrival

One way to make your dinner party stand out from the rest is by creating a signature cocktail to serve your guests. While it’s important to have an array of spirits on hand to appeal to everyone, consider featuring a special drink or have an easy to make cocktail bar with pre-cut garnishes and simple cocktail recipe cards so your guests can help themselves throughout the night. Don’t forget a mocktail for the non-drinkers and the kids!

Here are our some of our favourites!

    Old Fashioned Eggnog
    Christmas Negroni Premix Punch
    Mince Pie Martini (!)
    Mulled wine cocktail
    Peppermint Bark Mimosa

  2. Get Personal

Since the holiday time is all about togetherness and making your guests’ feel special and welcome, personalising your dinner party is one of the quickest ways to achieve that. Create place cards with your guests’ names on them, or even better make your own crackers with your guests’ name on them.

  3. Stick to the Christmas Feast

Everyone loves a good feast! Your guests will absolutely love a wow factor on your menu, such as my Christmas ham on the BBQ , turkey, or slow roast leg of lamb. Dessert is also a great opportunity to show off your culinary talent in the kitchen. A beautiful pavlova with lemon cheesecake topping and fresh raspberries and passionfruit has the wow factor.

  4. Entertain your guests

No one wants to be bored on Christmas Day! Your guests may enjoy some fun games such as Kuub, Christmas charades, or a good old fashioned game of outdoor cricket with the whole family. Another way to entertain your guests is to place sparklers on everyones table setting for some fun later in the evening.

Kim Manunui

Hi, I’m Kim and I work with a great team to help individuals, as well as small and not so small businesses get their message, product and services to the world using digital media and creating wonderful websites that don’t cost the earth.

I was born in Canada, and grew up around Vancouver and the mountains of British Columbia. My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home. My family’s heritage is here, and it’s from here that Korio traverses the planet.

The digital world is never static and neither are we.

And I say ‘we’ because I work with an awesome group of talented people who I gather together as required to complete a project.  Whatever your business, not-for-profit or individual needs are we gather the best team to get the job done.

Collaboratively we are creative, share sustainable values and work hard for great outcomes because that’s the buzz of satisfaction that drives us.

If you have an audience and market to reach, we can make that happen. Creative design, words that work and smart behind the scenes stuff that cuts through the online noise. We’ll design your website and then build it. We’ll manage the content as well as all your hosting needs. We can handle your online advertising so you get noticed,
and we’ll manage your social media presence so you get the clicks, likes and engagement to grow your business. All within the budget you set, because none of this needs to cost the earth.  And the job doesn’t stop when your website goes live. We are your virtual business partner.
